The latest track from Maceo Plex (aka Maetrik) is an absolute killer—definitely another notch in the belt for this moniker from the veteran DJ and producer. Titled “Falling”, it’s out on the latest comp from Visionquest, which is currently exclusively available at Beatport. Having gotten the opportunity to hear this one on some decent sound over the weekend, we can say for sure this is one very vinyl-worthy, as long as you’re willing to wait. And to be fair, though Maceo blows this whole release out of the water, the whole thing is worth its due; Tale Of Us brings us “Winds Of Change”, a moody analog piece with heavily filtered vocals (lovers of Art Department will especially dig this one) and San Francisco’s own Pillow Talk drops a slow, soulful disco-nouveau/ early 90’s house throwback with “Love Makes Parks”. Basically, there’s a little something for just about every flavor of house music fan to love in this one.
